Four short clips to share my story and the impact of my work so far.

CEREBRAL PALSY: NO BARRIERS

One of London South Bank University’s most popular visiting lecturers cannot speak without the help of a computer and has never been able to move any part of his body below the neck. But Javed Moore’s disability—caused by cerebral palsy—did not stop him from from passing his school exams with flying colours and gaining entry to a British university. He now gives motivational lectures to school children and students. His smile, confidence and optimism inspire young people—able-bodied or disabled, advantaged or disadvantaged—with a passion to succeed and self-confidence. Now aged 26 he lectures students of Occupational Therapy at the London South Bank University—helping them understand how they can plan care and rehabilitation collaboratively with their clients.

BACK TO THE START

During his primary school years, Javed Moore had possibly the most complex needs of any special needs student in mainstream education in the country. On a return visit to his primary school, teachers and pupils at Lauriston Primary School talk about the impact of his recent work.
